Hi, anyone got a 12 volt fuel gauge. I have heard 6 volt ones work but just not as accurate. Any thoughts?

Hi ya, they do come up on ebay and forums but you will pay a pretty premium for them . . . the other ways is to just put a voltage dropper on it thats what I am using on the panel . . . I think there is a guy on the ssvc forum thats converting your old 6v gauges to 12v now too.

** BTW got a membership form from you but haven't received any payment yet.

Cheers

Daz

Ian,

Have you seen this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VDO-Fuel-Gauge-Split-screen-Beetle-Bay_W0QQitemZ120483421163

If you're lucky you might get a baragin, I paid £80 for one before.

Cheers,

Mark.

EarlyVW have the sunpro gauges too that fit in the slot . . . not authentic but an option.

Quote:
Gauge is a good substitute for Split bus gauge, with stepped bezel-£30; sender suits depths of tank from 6"-26" & is comprehensive with all fittings & instructions; senders also in stock now-guage £30: sender £30.
