Vanfest Information Has Already Arrived.

http://www.vanfest.org/ - Price is £35 per person over 16 years includes entry to the show and camping.

The booking has to be returned by the end of July so if your going and want club camp you need to let me know well before then. The rules have changed again this year, it is still pre book only but this time club camping pre pay members will be issued club camping stickers which must be shown in vehicle windscreens to gain entry, those who do not have the stickers will be refused entry to the club camping area. They will be having a traffic management team to enforce club camping this year.

Club members should try to arrive on site between 10:00 to 23:00 hours on Friday entering via the Brown gate or 09:00 - 23:00 hours Saturday entering via the Yellow gate.

Here comes the rules

Kites must not be flown, fishing in lakes are prohibited, generators are permitted only between 08:30 and 21:30 hours. Bikes & skateboards are not permitted in any of the halls. Vehicle movement is not permitted other than leaving / returning the showground or competing in vanfest organised events, there is a total movement ban between 12:30 and 08:00 am.

Fires are not permitted, bbqs which are raised off the ground are permitted but they must not be left unattended and must be extinguished after use. Fireworks arn not permitted. Trading on club camping plots or any other camping area is forbidden, for sale vehicles can only be offered for sale in the for sale area.

Health & safety is now a big issue and clubs must perform their own risk assesment of their plots as well as supplying adequate number of fire extinguishers. A copy of the clubs public liability insurance is required.

Dogs are permitted on site but must be kept on a lead & under proper control at all times.

Clubs continue to be held responsible fo the conduct of its members, if your club gets blacklisted it will extend to all future events.

Anybody found flouting the rules will be expelled immediately from site.

We will be giving this one a miss this year, nothing to do with the weather last year or the money they are charging but rather do something different, Erna and family

I am going to have to start organising vanfest real soon . . . I believe Carl & Helen are up for it and I think Lisa & Myself are going too are there anymore takers can you let me know please.
