Cant believe its nearly a year ago, our preference would be along the lines of last year, somewhere in the center of Andover so you can head to a pub before or after or both, ;-) either Indian or Chinese as we get fed up with Christmas food what with work do,s etc, definately secret santa, as its a laugh, hav,nt seen Alan since then, :? and hopefully me and David wont have a repeat of that bug that we had last year, but its only our suggestion and dont mind going with the majority. Erna :D

Sorry if it is a bit repetitive......Curry again as it was soooo good last time & a much needed change from Turkey!
And are we doing secret santa too? Please.

The Pink Olive at Weyhill (50 yards up the road from the Weyhill fair) is really nice but it would mean getting taxis into town after if that was the plan.

Ok. . . we have had a couple of suggestions which include a casino night and also to go bowling before a meal.
The casino night I think will be too expensive as to hire the tables and people etc will be close to £500 and then we have the hire of the hall on top of that!!
I have not yet been able to get through to the bowling alley in Andover but am sure that they will be able to accomodate us although the telephone number on line is not connecting
A few other ideas may be to hire a hall somewhere and do a games evening with dinner bought in or convert our house to a more open space and do a hog roast.
One thing is for sure we will be having a secret santa!!
What does everybody think? :D

Hog roast sounds quality! Especially as it all ran out on sunday
Bowling sounds good also and may be easier for u instead of converting the house?
Yay for secret santa!

Lisa, the bowling alley in Andover has been closed for a few years now. The closest is probably Basingstoke.

Right then .................................................. who holds the keys for the bowling alley? :green: Should be cheap to hire.

Sorry no useful suggestion from here. Christmas camp maybe?

We will hopefully go with the flow. :D

Apart from pubs and curry houses there isn't a great deal to do in Andover town centre of an evening.

We're more than happy to go for a curry again, we really enjoyed it last year. If we want to do something different then it will probably mean going further afield.

If anyones brave enough for Tone's idea of a Christmas camp then the Wyke Down might be an option. We could have a meal there and anyone that wants to could camp as well?

Wii fun and games sounds good to us we have some games for it and bits we can bring too.
The Pink Olive sounds good very nice food and not a million miles from town only a mini bus or couple of taxis for those who want to go, also the curry garden up union street does good indian food and, is in town and is bigger than Chillies, lovely food and atmosphere there last year but a bit cramped.

Thats sorted then over ours for fun and games on the Wii then in to town for a curry :D
Next decision is a date the 12th or 19th December?
I also need to know numbers for booking tables, I am looking at hiring the top floor at Chillies which will mean that we are altogether but I have to know numbers as there will be a limit!! If there is more people than they can accomodate then I will look at alternatives!

The 12th would be better for us as its Liams work do on the 19th, but it doesnt matter if it end up on the 19th because we'll come to this anyway :P
